Benylin Children's Chesty Coughs Non-Drowsy contains the expectorant Guaifenesin which helps break down phlegm, so helping to relieve a chesty cough. With a pleasant strawberry flavour, Benylin Children's Chesty Coughs Non-Drowsy is sugar-free and colour-free, and has a non-drowsy formulation.

Each 5ml contains 50 mg of Guaifenesin as the active ingredient. It also contains Glycerol, Sorbitol liquid (E420), Carmellose Sodium, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Saccharin, Sodium Benzoate (E211), Citric Acid Monohydrate, Strawberry flavour and water.
Children aged 6 to 12 years: Give two 5 ml spoonfuls four times a day. Do not give more than eight 5 ml spoonfuls in 24 hours. Not suitable for children under 6 year old. Always read the labelling and package inserts before use.
"Do not give your child this medicine if: They have suffered with a bad reaction to this product, or any of the listed ingredients.They have a persistent cough such as occurs with asthma or produces a lot of mucus. They suffer from prostate problems (difficulty in passing water or needing to pass water often.) They are taking any other cough or cold medicine.They have narrow eye glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye) They are taking drugs for depression known as MAOI’s. Not recommended for children under 2 years of age. Do not take with products containing paracetamol"
