Benylin Children's Dry Coughs is formulated to provide relief of children’s dry coughs. Benylin Children's Dry Coughs contains Pholcodine, which helps to suppress and sooth persistent unproductive coughs. Benylin Children's Dry Coughs is blackcurrant flavoured, sugar-free and colour-free.

Each 5 ml contains: Pholcodine 2mg. Also contains: Maltitol syrup, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid Monohydrate, Sodium Benzoate (E211), flavours (Blackcurrant, Vanilla), purified water, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Glycerol and Acesulfame K.
Children 6-12 years: Two or three 5 ml spoonfuls 3 times a day. Not recommended for children under 6 years of age. Always read the labelling and package inserts before use.
"Do not give your child this medicine if: They have suffered a bad reaction to this product, or any of the listed ingredients. They have a persistent cough such as occurs with asthma or produces a lot of mucus. They suffer from prostate problems (difficulty in passing water or needing to pass water often.) They are taking any other cough or cold medicine. They have narrow eye glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye). They are taking drugs for depression known as MAOI’s.Not recommended for children under 2 years of age. Do not take with products containing paracetamol."
"Benylin Children's Dry Coughs can have side effects, and are usually mild. If you experience any of the following, stop using the medicine and seek immediate help:
Swelling of the face, lips or tongue. Allergic reactions including skin rashes (which may be severe and include blistering or peeling of the skin and itching). Irregular heart rate. Shakiness. Fits or numbness. Difficulty passing water."
