Each tablet contains 10 mg of Cetirizine Dihydrochloride together with Microcrystalline Cellulose, Lactose, Colloidal Anhydrous Silica, Magnesium Stearate and Opadry Y-1-7000.
Adults and children over 12 years should take one Zirtek Allergy Relief tablet daily swallowed whole with water. Not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Always read the labelling and package inserts before use.
You should not use Zirtek if : * You have a history of allergic reactions to any of its 'Ingredients' listed * You are pregnant or breast feeding your baby Do not use more than the recommended dose if you are driving or operating machinery. As with any other antihistamine, it is advisable that you avoid excessive alcohol consumption when taking these tablets. If you have ever had a reaction to an antihistamine in the past consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Zirtek. If your doctor has ever told you that you have kidney problems, you should consult him before taking these tablets. After taking cetirizine Tablets :- cetirizine tablets do not cause side-effects in most people. However, as with all medicines, some people can react differently. If you : - have frequent headaches - have an upset stomach - become agitated - get a dry mouth - experience dizziness or severe drowsiness Stop taking the tablets and tell your doctor If you notice anything unusual or have any other unexpected effects, stop taking the tablets and tell your doctor. Scientific studies have shown that cetirizine tablets do not normally cause drowsiness. However, individuals can react differently to treatment. If you are affected you should not drive or operate machinery, but should persist with the tablets as any drowsiness is usually transient. If symptoms persist consult your doctor. Warnings : Keep your tablets out of reach of children Store the tablets at room temperature Do not use after the expiry date shown under EXP on the end panel of the carton.
